The entire weekend for me was about reconnecting with a younger version of myself, and the kind of headstrong blind confidence I possessed as a teen. I took a meditation movement workshop that brought me back to my teenage self who loved to dance in her backyard with her Walkman. I shot a bow. I swum in a bikini pregnant without any self consciousnesses. I danced. Oh I danced. I haven’t danced like that in years.
There was something so so magical about being together with 100 other individuals who were completely accepting of one another. You know those walls that women put up with each other until they’re judged cool enough? Gone. Beautifully, happily, freeingly gone. We were ourselves, we accepted ourselves, we loved ourselves and each other. —Christina
